The latest shooting took place in Hartford around 1:15 a.m., Friday, Aug. 11 in the area of 15898 Park St.
Hartford Police officers responded to the area on multiple ShotSpotter notifications, said Lt. Aaron Boisvert of the Hartford Police.
Officers located two unresponsive victims suffering from gunshot wounds. One of the victims was pronounced deceased on the scene. The second victim was transported to an area hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The victims have been identified as Jonathan Roseboro, 39, of West Hartford, and Jose Valdes, age 34, no address provided.
The three men involved in the shooting were wearing all-black and white sneakers. One was firing an assault-style rifle, police said.
The men may be driving a silver-colored Audi with stolen plates.
Police on scene recovered 101 casings, Boisvert added.
"These individuals are considered armed and extremely dangerous and the motives for these incidents have yet to be determined," Boisvert said. "The vehicle used in the double homicide has since been recovered. The Audi has not."
The shootings began on Wednesday, Aug. 9, around 1:10 a.m., Hartford Police officers were dispatched to the area of 399 Ledyard St. on multiple ShotSpotter notifications. Upon arrival, officers located 52 spent casings, of different calibers.
The investigation revealed that the shooters appeared to be targeting a specific person or group. A 46-year-old West Hartford man was killed, police said.
The suspect vehicle in this incident was determined to be a silver 4-door Audi with a sunroof and heavily tinted windows. The shooters match the same description, Boisvert said.
On Thursday, August 10, 2023, at 12:45 a.m., patrol responded to multiple ShotSpotter notifications in the area of Park Street at Putnam Street. Upon arrival, officers located 39 spent casings, as well as 13 spent rifle rounds. C4 video revealed that three male suspects, wearing all black, with white sneakers, opened fire on a group of people in the area.
Several parked vehicles were found to have sustained gunfire damage.
The suspect vehicle in the incident was also revealed to be a silver-colored Audi with a sunroof and heavily tinted windows. This Audi displayed CT registration BH14971 at the time of the incidents, which is a misuse and does not belong on the vehicle.
Shortly after the shots fired incident at Park Street at Putnam Street, a home in Newington was shot at multiple times by multiple shooters. Among the casings recovered, rifle rounds were located.
The description of the suspect vehicle in the Newington investigation matches the Audi.
The Hartford Police Department is asking for the public's help identifying the suspects/suspect vehicle involved in these incidents.
"Any member of the public that sees the individuals or vehicle involved in these incidents is advised to not approach, but to contact police immediately," Boisvert said.
